About AMA
History
The Association of Military Alumni (AMA) was founded as a provisional affiliate group in May of 2023 by Kevin Doe Crowsyn. The founding leadership team consisted of Kevin along with Ashley Holmes Mullenix, Ranata Simmons, Sara Wedemeyer, James McCrary, Scott Cecil, Dennis Kelleher, Eric Campbell, and Sam Presley. In February of 2024, the Executive Committee of the University of
Florida Alumni Association (UFAA) Board of Directors voted to fully charter the group with a formal
launch date of July 1, 2024.
Membership
Membership in the Group is open to alumni, current and former students, family members of
students and alumni, and all other persons with an interest in the University of Florida. All Group
members must also be Alumni Association members. Each member agrees to be bound by the rules of the Group and the rules and bylaws of the Alumni Association. Dues are established by and paid to the Alumni Association.
Vision
A worldwide University of Florida network that includes military service members, military veterans, Department of Defense civilians, military family members, and military supporters.
Mission
To create a community that provides support, recognition, and outreach for military-affiliated alumni while enhancing relationships within the University of Florida in addition to upholding the Core Values and Mission of the University of Florida Alumni Association.

Create and maintain professional partnerships with all Gator Clubs and Affiliate Groups.
